I'm wondering how Grill'd compares state-by-state?
It's the worst (blandest) gourmet burger chain (of four) near where I live.
I'm trying to fathom why it still manages to get so much business. I think it's purely the location.
Bummer it's a Saturday. I could have gone a free burger today! I must have missed the sign, or they didn't have it up when i walked past. It's a pretty big store - lots of tables. (big compared to say Mad Mex nextdoor, similar size to a few of the other stores i've been to.
I've only eaten Grill'd a couple of times, but reckon they are pretty good - big, lots of fillings.
What's the other 4 to compare?
It's bloody delicious in QLD, although there is another place I prefer as the price is half what grill'd charges.
I agree I've had some great burgers at Robina. Although they do tend to get a bit on the messy side, it might just be that I'm a bit of a piglet when I eat.
Can I ask where the other place (in SE QLD) is that you go to who charge half the price of Grill'd?
Thanks.
Another +1 for QLD Grill'ds. Out of Robina, Garden City and Carindale they have all been excellent - aside from the price. I'm a proud carnivore but their veggie burger (with the big field mushroom instead of a meat pattie) is absolutely amazing. I would say it's my second favourite burger after one I had in Noosa (cannot remember the name of the place!).
Really? All 4 Grill'd locations I've been to in Sydney have been delicious! It's my favourite "value food" joint.
its hopeless in NSW
tried the Parra store, not even worth my bother getting a free one
Will probably be packed! Will give it a go though, any burgers to reccomend?
Kung Fu Fighter
both times in WA i got the Caesar's Palace chicken burger. so beautiful. get some chips too…they were the best i've ever had
Their Crows Nest, NSW, store is great - very consistent. Chatswood is average to poor. I hope Macquarie is up to Crows Nest standard - if not then Mad Mex is almost right next door.
Yep, Chatswood store is pretty average. Once is enough…
crows nest, darling harbour and darlinghurst stores have all been very good.
Had Grill'd twice for dinner in Robina Town Centre, Gold Coast. It was amazing!
CBD World Square had good burgers from Grill'd. I guess franchises are possibly ruining the brand.
like a true ozbargainer i will do a 1hour train ride to go get my burger
I've eaten in Brisbane CBD (Eagle St Pier), Darling Harbour, Brizzie some place else, and another I forget where.
So yeah I like 'em.
Chips are the best evvaarrr!
I fear it will be very busy, and given that it is eat in only, there may be some very long waits
gee - thanks for sharing i guess…
it was gonna be my little secret until tomorrow!!
i live close, i will go.
resistance is futile
Free burger? yes please

Huge line going outside the centre not sure if worth waiting
Got there at 11:15, huge line going outside. The store inside was still half empty, people getting seated. Line moved pretty quickly. Took 15 minutes. Skipped part of the line since they had a few tables for 2 open up and we were the 2nd party of 2 on line. Turnaround of customers was quick though. Burger was good.
Had caesar palace burger. Not that impressed tiny piece of chicken but meh was free.
Our table had beef ones all round (Kung Fu Fighter, Almightly and Hot Mama). Good burgers and IMO on par with CBD. Lines at 2 were short and only went up to max brenner's entrance. Took about 10 minutes for us. Very fast turnaround of customers.
There were also free Grill'd Magnets.
