Except I want DLC for an AU game, so this is not an option.
It'll work for a US account on AU PS3, but it won't work on a Aussie account on the Aussie store. The stores and promotions are run differently, that's why the sales are always different between stores apparently.
US Store prices for most retail games are pretty reasonable, so this is win win! I generally always buy from US Store but have the PAL PS+
