I'd like to buy Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, but I only want to pay the education price ($365 versus $2,887 for the retail version!!)
Has anyone found an easy and cheap way to get qualified status as a student that Adobe recognises? I'm employed as a casual Library Assistant by Lake Macquarie council, but I don't think libraries count as educational institutions. In any case, I want it for personal, non-commercial use and not for use at the library.
Thanks for the help.
Best/cheapest way to qualify for Adobe Educational pricing??

Cheap flight to the US and buy from there is easiest given the reports in the paper.
I have plenty of other ideas, like getting a student in your house buying it for you, if possible, but I'm sure you have thought of that.

Actually the US education pricing is USD$599, so we Aussies are getting a bargain for once!
And unfortunately I don't know any students.
Become a NSW Department of Education & Training teacher. Master Collection CS6 = $85 excl shipping (which is around $15) :)
Master collection for $85? Available for Vic teachers?
I'm not sure if they changed it, but adobe student products licenses only last for 1-2 years. once passed the licenses is invalid(can't open the programs).
so don't buy it, if you plan on using for a long time.
nah, don't support adobe. they are screwing australians big time with their pricing
