    • Hi rep, if you can bring back the deal as my above mention, I will pay for 3 year right away :), thanks

      • Hi andyken.

"Please Patch Your Security,A Big Vulnerability Found At Your Site"

Too much posting on Ozbargain, not enough security management.

    • Hi Yowlefled.

Sure. One of the accounts on our servers was hacked, and the hackers used this access to attack some of the other accounts on the same server.

It's all been cleaned up now, and our server management guys are investigating how the attack happened.

We've added more security to the servers, and will presumably be tweaking that as we get results back of how the hacking group got in.

It's not good, but rest assured that we take it extremely seriously, and will be investigating thoroughly.

Lol at pmupsinep's first question ignored.

Interesting isn't it? Must be a annoyed I noticed it. Deserves a neg. Poor rep response & selectively ignores questions. Wouldn't want to try and get support from them.

      Hi TR3V0R.

I'm not sure whether you're laughing at me ignoring a troll, or are wondering why we're posting a bargain that isn't as good as one as we've previously posted.

If it's the second case, then the answer is simple. Our specials change from fortnight to fortnight. If we kept every special we offer permanently, we'd be doing $17 .com.au domains and $2 web hosting accounts, with all features such as 24/7 phone support and a full monthly web hosting price SLA for any more than 20 minutes downtime.

We've re-opened the requested special as andyken is someone we've already had a lot of communication with, and it's not the norm for us to do so.

I'd advise anyone looking at one of our offers to actually buy it when it's offered, as the re-opening of previous specials isn't something we do regularly.

      • Matt is right, I talk to him several time but never had a chance to really purchased it, I feel bad as Matt always reply me within an hour of my message. Based on their previous deal, most of ozb happy with ServcerInSeconds hosting product and services.

      • Hi Matt, i try to access temp cpanel account but it showed me SSL error:

The site's security certificate is not trusted!
You attempted to reach 175.107.1xx.x, but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server has generated its own security credentials, which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identity information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

        • Hi andyken.

I'm not on duty today, but I'll try to follow this up for you regardless.

I can let you know that IP addresses aren't secured by themselves, only domain names.

I suspect that is the reason for the certificate warning, but as I said I'll follow up with you in your ticket later on.

  • Dam I was getting the same warning from my current host and looking to jump ship after getting 0 support.

This deal was looking pretty attractive till I read that

edit: In reply to The security Cert comment

    • yeah, its bit disappointing, the support told me first to ignore the message and kept going, but i am not happy and then told me it was my domain name not install with the ssl, how can it be my domain and its clearly my hosting certificate issues. When I look back the hosting plan, it is clearly said that it comes with SSL Secure.

      Still waiting on the reply

    • Hi surfbum.

I'm not on duty today, but I suspect that the warning andyken encountered is because he's trying to connect to an IP address securely, rather than a domain name.

I'll follow up here too, so you get a response as well.

      Matt Goodwin
      ServersINseconds

      • Hi Matt, I try to connect via domain name as well and happen the samething, quick google search tell me that it was something to do with the hosting. thanks Matt

    • Hi surfbum.

The error was andyken trying to connect to cPanel using the IP address (which can't be secured using a full SSL certificate). The connections are still secure, but you get a warning when connecting to the IP address securely.

If you want to avoid this warning - the plan includes SSL support, and you can get a signed SSL certificate from us with this plan.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
