CPU coolers and swiftech

Waiting for swiftech release its new h220 but now i think it will probably be more than a month before it comes here. What should i use in the mean time?

    Stock cooler? What are you doing that needs much more?

      I too am curious as to why you need liquid cooling.

      overclocking usually.

        In that case, can't you just stay at stock clocks until you're able to get the H220?

          yes but would rather play it safe with aftermarket cooler.

          How is using an after market cooler playing it safe? Nothing safer than the stock cooler.

          Depends. If you use a stock AMD cooler, they're horrible. 40deg C at idle is crazy. Even getting a CM Hyper 212 as suggested below will provide much better temps.
