  • no wonder basketball has died in this country when they charge $28 to go and watch it.

    Tickets are $10

If you pay $12, I think you get to start for the 36rs!

    • +2

You own them for $12 and play for them for free.

    (Warning - Political comment follows)

Eddy Groves "owned" the 36rs stadium, and when he defaulted on the loan for it the bank pursued him and bankrupted him over it. Is there anything or anyone that Eddy Groves has touched that hasn't turned to sh1t?

    (end political comment)

I think the Adelaide 36'ers should pay people to attend to watch their special brand of basketball.

Clue : Adelaide are bottom of the ladder with the best team in the league on Paper.

    • is that paper by any chance branded kleenex cottonelle? :P

    • best team in the league on paper?

Sorry, I'm a Melbourne Tigers season ticket holder and the best team in the league on paper is the Perth Wildcats. New Zealand are close in talent but play as a unit better than anyone. The Melbourne Tigers are also a much more talented squad than the 36ers and it shows when the two teams played this season.

What the Adelaide 36ers have is a stellar back court and Dan Johnson. Other than that they have guys who would play off the bench. Even Schenscher is a shadow of what he was a few years ago.

      • Agreed Perth wildcats are the best team on paper.

Does the coach get considered as "on paper" Coach has been one of their problems over the past few years. Sacking a decent import who was suited to the role and replaced with one of the worst imports seen in the past 10 years. And injuries that they didnt recover like other teams (see Wollongong). Creek was replaced by daly, schenscher and petrie labouring for half the season. /end rant

      Good deal

The NBA league pass is a much better deal. 1230 games a season for a total of approx $200, equates to 16c a game. Infinitely better viewing than the so called basketball on show here at $10, and you dont even have to leave the couch. Hell, even the D League is much more fun to watch, and its available free to watch live on Youtube.
Maybe if the NBL starts compensating people to waste their time, there might be more interest.

If you don't like basketball clearly this is not the deal for you, move along.

36ers may be the wooden spoon team but they're coming off of two close wins, and are playing a team who've been blowing hot and cold all season. This has the potential to be a winnable game for them and could be quite a fight.

$10 for fairly decent seats is a steal.
