  • Very ordinary price!

I can pick this up at local PC store for $115 (PLE Computers)
    It's $102 here … http://www.instantpcshop.com.au/pcshop/446/index.php?categor…

So not that special. Logitech RRP's are a waste of time unless you shop at HN for PC components.

    • LOL.. that's SO tru about HN.

I went shopping for some Pure-Fi iPod speakers last week and HN had them for $279 and I got them at DSE for $179… same exact thing.

  • I am not convinced running your Hardrive at a 45 degree angle is such a crash hot idea…..

    • Makes no difference at all what angle a hdd is run at.
Just don't go moving it about unnecessarily while it's running.

I've got drives mounts vertically, on the ends, flat, upside down.. it's all good.

Think about when you pickup a laptop computer that's running to move it. Even if you try to keep it perfectly flat the HDD is still going to move about thru it's plain of rotation. They are fairly resiliant little things, unless you knock/jar/bang them while they a operating. Then you're on your own :-)

      • or put for a magnet next to it, lol!! :)

  • The wireless keyboard on the Alto stand isn't that reliable - I ended up changing to a corded logitech offering due to sheer frustration at Ctr/Alt/Shift keys not always working when being used in shortcut combinations (as well as a general overall time delay in keystrokes). Apart from that, the stand + USB ports work a treat!
