Harry Potter Complete DVD Set (8 Movies) $35 at Fishpond and at Amazon UK

40

The complete set of Harry Potter movies on DVD (8 movies), for under $4.50 per movie.

These disks are supposedly region 2 (Europe/PAL), but one Amazon reviewer said the disks are region free. Disks for the first four movies apparently have some extras, but probably not nearly as much as the recent similar 11-disk Blu-ray deal that was here on OzB.

Fishpond says "ships from UK supplier", so they are probably re-selling Amazon UK's stock. Here is the link to Amazon UK for those who don't like Fishpond, Booko.com.au says there is less than $1 difference in price:

However, the Amazon UK deal seems a little confused, international shipping doesn't seem to be offered.

This deal has been running for four days that I know of - I ordered through Fishpond on 17 Feb, and I just got the email saying it has shipped. Email also says "We anticipate delivery between 04/03/13 and 11/03/13"

  • We anticipate delivery between 04/03/13 and 11/03/13"…. smh

    • Two Harry Potter deals in a row on OzB… hows that for coincidence? Your deal hadn't listed when I posted mine!

I have used Fishpond half a dozen times, and their delivery estimates were always good. It's not like Fishpond are using China Post to send the goods!

If you google Fishpond you will find a very, very long history of horror stories. Ranging from loooong delivery, scam emails (which I got), bad customer service, cancelled orders ect ect.
      I would stay far away.

You have Amazon UK for only a tiny bit more.

      • you missed out credit card abuse - one of the worst companies still to be seen on this site - should be banned.

  • Nothing is hardly ever in stock at Fishpond. I think they ship in the item in from an overseas supplier then on ship it to the customer. Take easily a month to arrive. The last time I ordered something from Fishpond the Blu-ray box set arrived from Fishpond in New Zealand.

    • I am pretty sure that Fishpond is a New Zealand company, but they maintain an Australian website so they can appear to be Australian. I suspect they don't have any bricks-and-mortar presence in Australia. Whois information lists only NZ addresses.

I find the best part about Fishpond is their guarantee to beat Amazon (US) prices by 5%. This has saved me quite a bit when ordering $300+ specialist books.

      • Have a new zealand address - and something in Mexico I hear - nothing in oz - no abn etc.

  • Now down to $33. Damn! I bought too early!
