      When iPhone 4 was "discontinued" an 8Gb model was released in its place and the 16 and 32GB models were no longer being produced.

    This isnt a very good deal, iPhone 4 is available for about $300 new outright unlocked at DSE. Dont remember all the details though.

    You could put a Vaya SIM for $11 a month. Total comes to $264. Its also on the Optus network, so no suffering.

    Total $300 + $264 = $564.

    i think it'd be a better deal if it was an iPhone 4S which is far superior to the iPhone 4 in terms of performance.

      Buy a second hand one from Gumtree or a new one from Apple, then go on a plan from Vaya or Kogan/Boost if you want unlimited :)
