Chef's Choice Angle Select 1520 Diamond Hone Sharpener

I want to invest in a good electric knife sharpener and have my eyes set on the Chef's Choice Angle Select 1520 Diamond Hone Sharpener. However, local stock seems to be around $300 mark while on Amazon, it's going for half that. What I can't be sure of is the voltage on the US model. Has anyone bought one of these sharpener and/or any recommendation on a good electric knife sharpener. Thanks.

    I always thought electric sharpeners are bad for your knives cause you have no control of the sharpening process and it can ruin your knife

    Crikey. It's 7 years later and I have the same question. Local stock of the 1520 is currently about $340-400+ aud. Costco in Canada has the same for $100 can quite frequently.

    Does anyone know if the north American model is dual/multi voltage?
