I am after a life insurance that will allow you to cancel after a month, I.e. will give 30 days or so cooling off period without any hassle.

Wow. I'm glad I don't have your problems.
You probably have life insurance via your super fund.
Ask them how much to increase the cover to $x, and if you can reduce it again later. Might be quite inexpensive.
I think most individual plans will want you to have a health check up etc.

There is a government mandated 14 day period. Medibank have a 30 day policy.

Anyways, I m goin overseas for three weeks, wanna get it before that..
