I used this to have my IPad 2 replaced last week (faulty microphone) even though the manufacture's warranty had expired.
It is worth having a copy around.
How to Order:

Which clauses did you use, I am in similar situation with dodgy microphone I didnt get time to take back and would like repaired. I f discussed elsewhere please link me. Thanks.

Their models are for 4 years for computers and 3 years for mobile devices.
So I said it is reasonable to expect my iPad to last 3 years.
I actually only needed to say:
Rule 1. Acceptable quality.
All goods must be of an acceptable quality.
This means they are:
• safe
• lasting <—- this
• have no faults <— this
• look acceptable, and
I used the Apple online support call back feature (chose an exception to avoid paying a fee)
The first rep said I needed to take it back to where I bought it (I bought it from apple.com but..)
Can the seller refer me to the manufacturer and ask that I deal with them directly?
No. You are free to ask the seller or the manufacturer to fix your problem. The seller may send the goods to the manufacturer for diagnosis or repair, but they cannot force you to deal with the manufacturer directly.
I told him this and that I bought it from them.
Next he said he didn't know anything about Consumer Laws (didn't deny it and was friendly) and said to call back with the reference number after restoring the device.
I did and was transferred to a senior person who arranged for me to take it in to my local Apple Authorised Service Centre (MAC1 in my case)
I dropped it off there after explaining consumer laws and my reference number + invoice (check your email/download off apple.com).
I called back the senior apple person with my service number. ~1-2 days later she called back saying Apple would be repairing/replacing it at no charge.
~10 days later (I hadn't been told it was ready yet and it was estimated 10-15 days) I called MAC1 and asked about my iPad. MAC1 told me it was ready to pick up.
I drive down and am greeted with a shiny new iPad 2 (engraved like before too). {Was told they don't fix them}

It's late and this keyboard is about to be thrown out the window so excuse any mistakes.
(I should mention that I was polite at all times (Imagine being on the phone all day))

if you go into an electoral office, there is a computer there and you can check anyone's address. I went there on an excursion once and was fascinated that you can look up anyones address. We looked up various celebrities no problem.
Did you find Gerry Harvey's one? =D
Provided they are a registered voter and not a silent elector.
