  • Shame about it being only USB 2.0, but it still seems like a decent deal.

    Performance from reviews indicate:
    READ: 21.41 MB/Sec
    WRITE: 5.39 MB/Sec

    So it's not breaking any speed records but the read performance isn't terrible. I give it a go, will load one of them up as a boot drive.

    I found another vendor selling the 'non-twist' version for $5.95, might be better for people who can't pick up.

    Does being USB 2 or 3 make any difference to a cheap thumb? I wouldn't have thought that was the limiting factor.

      For 16GB and under, not really. 32GB and up is another matter though in my opinion…

      I have many uses for the small drives which involve filling once and using indefinitely. I would use a 32/64GB drive completely differently and want the faster READ/WRITES associated with USB3.
