Brentsbits - It's $2 Day: HDMI Micro/Mini/Right Angle Adapters and Mini/Micro USB OTG Cables

1000

Hey folks, yesterday's deal with the right angle sata cables was so popular I thought I would throw some other stuff in the mix today.

There's a few hundred of each available (Right Angle HDMI adapters have about 240 left) so it's another one of those deals, buy as much as you like, the only limit is the stock I have available. This deal will run until Saturday, then prices will go back to normal.

Everything today is $2 including shipping. Before you ask, you may notice everything is priced at $1.40 with $0.60 shipping, the reason for that is that eBay doesn't charge fees on shipping charges, so to nail it down as far as I can, I dropped the price and included a shipping price, it all works out the same though, $2 including shipping.

So today I have the following available:

Mini HDMI Adapters - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321070…
Micro HDMI Adapters - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321065…
Right Angle HDMI Adapters - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321065…
Mini USB OTG Cables - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321065…
Micro USB OTG Cables - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321071…

Enjoy!

I almost ordered one from you yesterday… 100% ordering it today (Micro USB OTG)

    • +2

This was kind of a spur of the moment idea to be honest :-)

      • Well sorted out my cable, sim and screen protector wants all in one go…

      • +1

You should have more of these 'spur of the moment ideas' I reckon, good deals!

    • DAAAAMMMMMMMNNNIITTTT!!! I did buy it yesterday cost me 43c extra, I feel so ripped off :P

      JK JK

  • Just ordered 3 Micro USB OTG cables, Thanks!!

  • +1

Are you likely to get the slimport hdmi adapters any time soon? Nexus 4 (and possibly others) use it and I can only find one ebayer that stocks them.

    • these are basically MHL adapters right

      • Same function but they're a different standard, so you can't just use a regular MHL adapter unfortunately.

    • +1

The method to the madness of the specials in the last two days is that the more I order in my next order on the 18th (when the Chinese new year holiday ends) is that the more I order, the cheaper the shipping costs get, a well as of course volume discounts on the actual items themselves. So I can order more different products and more of them.

The short answer is, I'll have a look at them and see if I can get them for a reasonable price.

      • Hey brentsbits any chance of a left-angle mini usb cable? Or right?

        • +1

Possibly, I'll see what I can do

  • +2

finally broke through my tightarsedness and I have purchased.

Keep posting your deals on here and more of us will support you. Good luck with your (growing) business.

  • +1

can you combine postage…cause i bet your just gunna stick 2 adapters in the same 60c envelope

    • +1

you'll ONLY get that type of request from a seasoned ozBargainer !!

    • +12

I can understand the question but the answer is no. As mentioned, the cost is divided between shipping and price because that saves a bit on eBay frees, the cost is $2 per item, just think of it as $2 with free shipping :-)

    • I had a guy post two items together and take the combined fees of 2 postage prices (which was a good deal more than the price of this postage), so I well and truly understand where this type of question is coming from.

      • +11

Definitely, it's a reasonable question, I hope my response is considered equally reasonable :-)

        • nah makes sense
i have sold things on ebay in the same way. its a savvy way to save on fees, but as long as youre transparent about it and not refusing discounts just because you can gouge more profit

same end, same means, different justifications

  • +1

Noob here, what do these cables do?

    • +7

Doesn't matter, just buy them. Their cheap! You may find an eventual use or them! That's the true OzB spirit!

    • +1

While I must agree with Maestrok :-) I'll give you a hint - you may have a table with a microUSB slot - then you use the MicroUSB on the go cable and you can plug a USB device in it (typically memory key).
Your HD camera most likely does not have full size HDMI connector, so you use the conversion and then your standard HDMI cable… you got the idea now…

      • +3

And to think my tables only hold cups and magazines… how they have evolved.

        • +1

My table holds a tablet and a remote control. No freakin' microUSB slot etc.

  • Do you have any micro-usb to hdmi cables?

    • +1

No I don't. I'll have to look into them as well.

  • Just what I needed, ordered one Micro USB OTG cable! for my Nexus 7!
if only you sell Lightning cable as well…

    • one more thing… your mini USB and micro USB OTG listings has the same information, probably will mislead some potential customers?

    • I do, have a look at all my stuff in http://stores.ebay.com.au/brentsbits

  • Can any of the above be used on Samsung Galaxy series (note 2 or III)?

    • The micro USB OTG cables should work

      • Thank you! what's what I bought yesterday.

  • Can someone tell me what would these OTG cables be used for?

  • Literally JUST ordered some from Hong Kong ~30 minutes ago, before I found this post. EVen did an OZB search before hand and this didn't come up!
    Dang.

    • cancel your order

      • eBay unfortunately.

        • I have people requesting cancellations all the time, if they have a decent reason, I let them. Not to push you to buy from me but often you can get the ebayer to help you out.

  • Just checked your other items. Now this is a bargain http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-2-0-Mini-Micro-SD-T-Flash-TF-… I'll take 10.

    • Must be, because he sold 50.

  • Can you do pick ups?

    • +1

Don't wanna pay 60c postage? you're a true ozbargainer mate

    • +1

I don't do pickups for less than $100 of items, purely because I have to arrange my day around it :-) When I start wholesaling it will probably be a bit more doable but being a uni student (in another 3 weeks) it's not really feasible for me.

  • Hi brent, would I be able to pick the micro hdmi adapter up? And if so, where abouts in east melb?

    • +2

Why would you want to pick up? Not worth the fuel or both of your time.

      • Maybe I live close by? Maybe I need it quicker?

        • I don't do pickups, sorry.

        • If you live in driving distance, would only take a day or so by post.

        • then pay for express

  • +1

Cheers, grabbed the micro USB OTG cable

  • SATA cables yesterday, Micro USB OTG cables today…who knows what tomorrow may bring! Onya Brent - keep up the good work!

    • nothing more for a two or three weeks. I need to get more stock in, have a look at my forum thread to vote on what deal I should run next :-)

Just worked out that I have a OTG Mini USB but not an OTG Micro USB….now that has been fixed..>Thanks Brent

  • Hi REP
Do you sell DV to HDMI cables as I need to connect my video camera to my pc.
    Hope you can help
    Cheers

    • I asked the same question last time. Looks like we better get them from ebay.

      • Sorry I missed your question in the other thread wtfnodeal, the answer right this second is no, but I should be ordering a few in in the next lot of stuff.

  • +1

Shut up and take my money Brent.

    • oh…..all right

  • +1

    Ordered!

  • +1

    Thanks, ordered one.

  • +1

    Thanks - ordered 1

  • +1

Thanks! I ordered a Micro HDMI Adapter.

  • Do any of those let you connect your phone to the television? Iv'e got a Galaxy S3.

    • +1

Short answer is no - you ll need HDMI cable and at the moment Brentbits is not selling micro/mini to HDMI. BUT if you already have a HDMI cable just get the micro/mini adapter then connect the cable to it. Easy! (Thats my plan, hopefully its not wrong!)

      • Nice, I ordered one too…lets hope it works with those $2 HDMI cables from another deal a few weeks ago. :)

      • It wont work. The s3 doesnt have a microor mini hdmi port. It has a micro usb port which will only take mhl cables with an 11 pin layout. The mhl cable has to be designed specifically for the s3 to work.

  • Can someone confirm Asus 700T Infinity is Micro HDMI Adaptor?

    • not sure, it should mention in the specs on the box. Alternatively, just have a look at the edges of the tablet, they are fairly recognisible

    • I'm sure you found the answer already, but in case others are still wondering: Micro HDMI.

Just ordered some for my TF700 :)

  • +1

Awesome. More cables to add to that box of miscellaneous cables I have. Hooray for Brent!

  • Can those screen protectors for iphones be cut smaller to suit other fones?

    • Yea, use some scissors.

    • Yeah, but probably just try to make sure your scissors are clean or you're gonna have a terrible edge

  • -1

Overpriced. Can get them for $1.40 including postage elsewhere.

    • In Aus or china? postage >1 week or 3-4 weeks?

  • Damn, I ordered an adapter from you a week back already… should I be tempted again? Cheapest in Oz…

  • gees..i dont need one…but I want to order one!!

    • Ok you can order one for me then, cheers :D

  • That's not good enough for ozbargain
    $2.30 can get you 5 pieces…. lol
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150988150019?ssPageName=STRK:MEWN…

    • ??? 3-4 week wait on those buddy.

  • +1

Had to work out what a device had, micro or mini HDMI out before could order :) Then got 1 of each anyways.

  • Can any1 tell me whether I need a micro or a mini hdmi adapter for my laptop. I think I need a mini because my regular hdmi cable is too big for the socket in my asus laptop

  • Just bought 2 lighting cables, look forward to receiving them soon brett ;)

  • Hi Brent,

    My package arrived today.

I ordered four items (mini USB OTG, micro USB OTG, mini HDMI, micro HDMI), however there was only three in the package; the micro USB OTG cable is missing. Can you please follow up?

    Order # 132275681015

    • Ah crap, sorry about that, bad order packing. I am currently out of stock of the micro USB OTG cables. I am happy to refund or ship them when new stock arrives in a bit over a week. It's up to you, let me know and I'll sort it out.

PS: I've already sorted out better stock control methods

  • Just wondering if everybody else who ordered their cables have received them already?

I ordered on the 13th and yet to receive mine.

    • Me neither.

    • The estimated delivery time that eBay provides is unfortunately just that, estimated. With Australia Post standard postage, items typically take between 2-5 business days but some take up to 10 business days. Unfortunately this is out of my control as once it is posted, it is up to Australia Post.

In my experience so far, about 40% or so of the packages get delivered within a couple of days, and maybe 10% take a full 2 weeks. With standard post there is no Australia Post guaranteed delivery time, just that it will get there.

However, if it hasn't arrived after the 10 business days of it being posted, I will ship it to you again. You should have received an email from eBay at the time your order was processed.

  • The micro sim adapter that I ordered on the 19th arrived today. That made me wonder what was happening with the cables which were ordered much earlier.

Thanks for the info, should hopefully get here soon then.

    • I hope so, I've had a lot of packages be delayed that were sent out due to the last specials. Not sure what's going on.

  • Just following up on the previous posts, has anyone received their order yet? I ordered the Micro USB OTG cable on Feb 13th, and after reading the potential delivery times, I had my hopes of receiving my order after 10 days, but it is now the 25th.

I guess 10 working days will be this Wednesday.

I'm in Melbourne as well, so I wouldn't have expected delivery times to be this long.

    • Mine took 2 or 3 days (Easton regional Vic), was very impressed with the postage speed.

      • Thanks for the heads up. I'm in St Kilda, a little south of Melbourne, so it did seem weird that it is taking so long to arrive.

I'll message Brentsbits if I do not see this in my mailbox tonight.

  • @Darkness
