Last weekened I saw Harvey Norman were selling 3 inks for the price of 2 so we ordered online 3 of the CLI-526 Bundles for $173.76. That seemed a bargain until I found out their in store price is $111 each?
Given my online/pickup order was taking ages to process (a week) I went to a different store were they also wanted $111. So I showed them the website price (they can and did check in store themselves) and they honoured the 3 for 2 at $173.76.
A quick look online seems $100 is the going rate for these so a bargain for me to get 3 bundles for $173.76 short of a generic compatible bundle and/or going OS/ebay.

not really…flea bay around 50 bux a pop for the complete set
+1 to this, ive been getting my original ink from ebay for $50 for a complete set, thats 5 inks for $50 same price it is for 2 here.
ive gone through probably 8 sets already and will consider a generic refilling system just to see if its ok to use generic ink as my last 2 printers both died when i started using generic on those.. seriously !!
Will genuine last over 300% longer than generic?
Just buy a CISS system. Tons more ink and saves you $ in the long run -> And would be cheaper than this deal.
+1
Yes, Yes, Yes - I'm studying economics and the ink cartridge rort is a two part tariff - cheap printer, rip off ink prices. However I paid for extended warranty on my printer to get free ink replacement once per year for 3 years. I figure if I use their product I have more chance of them honouring their warranty so for me less than $60 from a non-ebay source is a bargain.
However - I had never heard of the CISS before and will be doing some research on that now so thanks Maz78! I should have enough ink to last a couple of years now at any rate - OK who am I kidding …I think I use this ink as well, but certainly ink is really expensive. Happy to avoid where possible.
BTW, sorry to say but it's a strong possibility your printer will die before you finish your second set. ;)
Harvey's used to do a once a year 50% off ink. That was worthwhile. Also indicates markup.
Officeworks has the 2 bundles for only $129.00 so those interested it might be worth trying to get Harvey Norman to pricematch with OW to get them for 129.00 plus a 3rd free???
It is probably pushing it a bit but worth a try;
….. https://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Ink-and-Toner… (2 bundles for $129.00)EDIT:::: Officeworks is the better pack to buy as it is a 6 INK pack (your getting 2 lots of blacks) and HN is only 5 ink pack (only 1 black) —— perhaps get officeworks to match to get the freeby pack??
Or at least try to get HN to match the price of OW and get your freeby?
The whole inkjet market is a rort and rip-off. So, is cheapest price a bargain?
