    Still not convinced how this is better than an android smartphone with Hdmi out and a ps3 controller connected via Bluetooth…

      I suppose the hacker friendliness and open-source HW/SW is really what you're paying for.

      Raspberry Pi for instance, has completely outdated specs and is overpriced, yet people buy them because of their tweakability.

      Well, it's a lot cheaper (if you don't already have an Android smartphone), and can stay permanently plugged in.

      It also has a UI designed for TV and controller input rather than touch, and it will have proper XBMC support (i.e. with hardware acceleration) and an ethernet port for streaming, which is a big plus for me.

    There are no major games for the console, it is total waste of money. It will be just paper weight.

      You mean apart from the hundreds already announced? Worth it just as a media streamer with XBMC, imho.
