Closest cost to Kogan's $299per annum-Flat Rate offer would be Amaysim's $240-Flexi: covering a measly 3hrs voice plus 1/12th*Kogan's data-package before excess charges may cut in (reference: postpaid customers).
One concludes there is no enduring value left in this tired format. Time for renewal again.
Again Amaysim are concentrating of getting new customers ahead of retaining the ones that they've got. Churn and burn. Sad really.
As you're suggesting, there is better long term value out there and it doesn't take more than a trivial search to find it.
