Dungeon Crawl has the XP500 cheaper ($179.95 - free standard delivery, maybe cheaper if you pickup as a member)

    • Ours are the Australian version and come with a 12 month warranty, theirs are imported. I doubt that Turtle Beach Australia will honour warranty claims of the imported version.

      • fwiw .. the ACCC would hold Dungeon Crawl responsible for the Warranty claim

  • Tell me with the Xp500, do i get the same benefits on a PS3 as a xbox, as in would it work as a PX5 would work on a PS3, or is it mainly to be used only on XBOX and on a PS3 you dont get the same features? In which case i presume i would be better off buying a PX3?

I want it first for PS3 but would also plan on using it on a PC and then followed by maybe a XBOX, the priority in that order. I would like a 5.1 or 7.1 headset if possible and i definitely need chat plus wireless would be very useful. Is the PX3 the best fit?

    • The products you've mentioned work on PS3/Xbox 360 (most features should also work on PC) no problems, but the PX5 won't be able to connect to an Xbox wirelessly without the Xbox adaptor.

The other main difference between the two is just the colour scheme. The XP500 is green & black, while the PX5 is red & black.

The PX3 is also a good choice, but you won't get the Bluetooth functionality and you'll need to connect the included RF transmitter. :)
