Natures care is odorless
I know fish oil tablets are all about active ingredients,
For Nature Own's,
EACH TABLET CONTAINS
Fish Oil Natural 2000mg (2g)
Equiv. Omega-3 Marine Triglycerides 600mg
—What is in the rest of 1400mg?
For Healthy Care,
Fish Oil 1000mg Capsules 400
Fish Oil (Natural) 1g (1000mg) containing omega-3 marine Triglycerides 300mg
For this instance, 1 Nature Own's = 2 Healthy Care. But because Healthy Care is cheaper so it is up to you, whether you want to have more tablet or the lesser the merrier each go.
The rest of the fish oil is just that… oil. The higher the percentage of Omega3 fatty acids, the less oil you need to consume. The remaining 1400mg is basically empty calories.
Ethical Nutrients Hi Strength Fish oil is one of the best available in Australia and definitely offers the best bang for buck when taking into account Omega3 fatty acid content.
If you care about what you are taking, check out the International Fish Oil Standards program. The rate fish oils on purity and quality and there's not many that are worth taking. Although Ethical Nutrients isn't on the list, you do have to pay for the testing, so not all companies take part.
I agree with thedriver. Oils and oils, especially if they're rancid. I'm not saying that's what's going on here and as consumers there is little to tell the difference.
is healthy care a good brand?
generally people know blackmores and natures own
It's the same as most products out there. The only difference is some are "higher strength" but they advertise that fact anyway. Look at DHA/EPA, most are 300mg(DHA+EPA) per 1000mg.
Whilst it doesn't claim "odourless" I haven't noticed an odour.

I'm just about to finish off my container of Nature's Own 2000mg. They were given to me by my mother because the capsules are really big and she couldn't swallow them. Just something to consider before buying. As others have mentioned it's not the highest concentration of omega-3 either.
I'll just put this out there for the vegans/vegetarians wanting to get their essential fatty acids (EFAs), there is one that has DHA and EPA from algal sources called Ovega 3. They are available over at vitacost and iherb (currently out of stock). They are more expensive than traditional fish oil at roughly $15 for 60 capsules (2 months supply). There is also another one by Deva (DHA+EPA) for roughly $24 (90 capsules), but the dosage is half of that compared to the Ovega-3. :)
There is also Opti3 which has 200mg of EPA, 400mg of DHA and 5mcg of vitamin D3 (fungus based). It costs $29 for a bottle of 60 capsules, but you can also buy 3 bottles for the price of 2 from their website atm.
To my knowledge all biological oils are made out of fatty acids (as opposed to the oil we use for fuel and petrochemicals). Fatty acids are hydrocarbon chains terminating in a carboxylic acid group. Of all the types of fatty acids there are only two, not found in plants, that have anti-inflammatory effects, since that compete with arachidonic acid, the precursor of several inflammation inducing molecules like prostaglandins. People claim these fish oils have all other sorts of beneficial effects, but I don't think there is as yet much evidence. Still, often believing something to be true if sufficient to get a therapeutic benefit; antidepressants for instance turn out to be only slightly better than placebos in meta-studies. From experience I have found fish oils reduce the oiliness of skin and the acne that accompanies excess oil secretion. To combat inflammatory/arthralgic conditions I would suggest 3-6 low strength pills per day for a lightweight individual. Also note that that inflammation in implicated in many degenerative conditions such as heart disease, so even if you are free of joint-ache, supplemental fish oil can be beneficial for long-term health.
Compared to the US, almost all fish oil products sold in Australia are mediocre. The United States market has several brands of fish oils with triple the concentration of EPA/DHA found here, and some of them are enteric coated which reduces or eliminates gastric irritation.
Poor fish, sacrificed to help us unhealthy folk cope with our degenerative diseases. rohanp16 mentioned above that these useful fatty acids can be harvested from algae (cyanobacteria), though at a significantly higher price. Krill is another source, but quite expensive. Hopefully someone will figure out a way of genetically engineering plants like Canola to produce EPA and DHA instead of the usual pro-inflammatory unsatuared fatty acids. Farewell to heart disease and arthritis epidemics.
