Also just found this which seems just as good:

The BLR couch above has removable cushions and top quality leather all over (not sure about the back/side panels on the NS?).

You are trying to represent that building it for you is a good thing? they are doing me a huge favour by being a drop shipper! Everything is always 8-10 week wait at Nick Scali.

      • What's it matter?

I waited 7 months for a couch from Focus On Furniture once. 8-10 weeks is good.

  • Funny seeing this as we went lounge shopping last weekend to replace a 7 yo fantastic furniture chaise.

We were very close in getting this (lounge store hopping around trying heaps) as it was fantastic quality and great feel on the back and tush for the price.

Have nothing good to say about nick scali leather. Both our lounges are NS, as is a lot of our furniture, and whilst we love them both and they are comfy, the leather lounge has deteriorated 5 years aft it was purchased with the leather showing significant wear. We took good care of it, even using the NS leather care kits for cleaning, but it hasn't seemed to help.

BTW, Nick scali seem to have a sale 12 months a year if you miss this one. Their February sale will probably start the day after the January one ends.

The price is still pretty good for leather, but my experience hasn't been great.

It sounds like you've been doing the right things care-wise. Perhaps it's time now to check whether someone in your family has a particularly abrasive arse?

  • Gonna get get

  • is there any good deals around for a quality leather Chaise lounge? Thanks

  • OP how much was the 2 seater shown in the link?

  • Quality matters. Bought a Nicoletti italian leather couch 15 years ago. Still have it and its only just started to sag due to kids constantly using it as a trampoline. The leather is supple but super strong. No signs of wear at all. If NS leather is poor after 5 years thats a shame

  • ummm all this talk about the leather quality… @ 1k you know it's not top grade leather….. but you can upgrade at NS like most other furniture stores. Would be good to know what grade the leather is for the price.

Agree. If I'm going to have a slaughtered cow wrapped around my lounge I want it to be of decent quality.

  • In a Nick Scali store ask to tip a couch upside down to have a look at how well it is built. I did this and the salesperson ran away as fast as she could. The build quality was worse than a cheap super-amart couch. Do this and make up your own mind before you buy.

    • I brought some couches over 3 years ago and cant complain about the build quality, the set I got was called Igloo

Here is a pic of a white 3 seater with chase, I got it in black with upgraded leather.

Have teens that still think its ok to jump around onit but it seems to have survived without any issues.

Also, they dont just get all there stuff from one supplier so quality will vary on the particular piece you chose.
