  May have to install patches from Frozen Throne onwards - something to enquire about those with download limits!

    Frozen Throne is a completely different game, you must mean Wrath Of The Lich King

    You are however correct in assuming a large patch after installing what comes in this pack.
    There is 2 expansions after the content in this box , one of which replaces half the game world, and the other expansion is an entirely new area.

    The patch would be fairly epic, more than likely in the 10 gig range at a guess (my warcraft folder is nearly 20 gigs)

      I remember the game originally came on 4 CDs, and 2.5 GB install. Guess the game has come a long way since then.

  my a/c is paid and updated to Cataclysm. Do i need to pay for 2 version before i can play the latest content?

    Latest content was "Mists Of Pandaria" and yes you would need to buy it to get the latest content on the account you mentioned that is already updated to Cataclysm.

    All this boxset would do for you stevelo, is give you the first 3 sets of 5 sets of content (so would be 2 expansions behind) on a NEW account.

  If someone buys this as a new player, I suggest not entering the key and making a starter account, there for can get a few characters to lv20 (1-2 weeks casually playing) then start the free 30 days.

    yeah, nice idea, but the limitations on the starter account are nasty if you want to socialise while doing those 1-20 levels.

    I found it annoying not being to send pricate messages unless the other person friends you first…
    Only communication you have is /say and /party, so someone needs to invite you/talk to you first/be right next to you for you to talk to them…

    I think I read somewhere the stats that those who quit the game rarely return.

    I was addicted to it pretty hardcore, but only for a year. The magic had worn off on me after about 6 months, and then I only casually played Battlegrounds for another 6 months, then realized there was nothing worth doing, and I was just wasting my time/money. Since then I've never had even the remotest desire to go back.

    That was what brought on those incentives (they gave away a free level up to 80 to former players, as well as all expansions up to Lich King).

    If you allow yourself to get addicted, it will be very tough to get out of it. If an addiction to a game can have bad effects on your social life, I would advise against it.

    If you're the kind that doesn't care much for progression, then the hooks of there-something-good-just-around-the-corner won't be able to get a hold on you (i.e. you're a casual gamer), and you should be safe from addiction.
