This is the GT 7.7 (16Gb wifi only version), Bundle includes what looks like the official Samsung Fitted Book Cover and Samsung Desk Stand Charger. From a quick Google, separately, the cover sells for anywhere from $49.95 - $79.95 and the desk stand can be bought for around $25. The tablet itself, despite being an older model still carries a premium and is only one of two tablets with the AMOLED screed (the other being the Toshiba AT270).

This vid compares the 7.7 (w/ unofficial JB rom) with the iPad Mini and it beats the iPad Mini on most of the benchmarks. From what I can find, real world performance appears to be generally on par with Tegra 3 tablets given the lack of apps that take advantage of multi-core processing. Multi-core benchmarks, however, will show that the 7.7 is c.30% slower.

The 7.7 should come with HC 3.2, but the official ICS 4.0 should be out and up-gradable immediately (according to the Samsung website it has been released in Aus). Just this month, there are articles around the web that show Samsung Thailand has confirmed an upgrade path to JB 4.1. This would be fantastic, but there are those who are still skeptical with an understandably 'see it to believe it' perspective.

    I should've bought one when EBGames had it for $198…
    Now I think about it people complained a lot cuz EB was dodgy enough to send out refurbished models

      Not everyone received opened boxes. Someone mentioned EB stores were all requested to send back their stock, including display units. I'm pretty sure only a number of people received opened boxes, otherwise you'll hear a much bigger stink.

        I bought two of them. Trick ebgames had done to fool us was, they had put another bit bigger seal sticker on broken old one. You will notice it only if you observe closely. I feel all of them are open boxes, most of them might have not noticed it. That's what happened to me as well.

          mine came in an old box but with sealed accessories pack and factory screen protector still on. add in 2 years samsung warranty i didn't really care about the opened box to be honest

      I bought the ebgames one, with the half wrecked box but with screen protector etc looked new. Update Kies, plug it in and it updated to 4.0.1 automatically for me.

      Courtesy of the cost of producing the Super Amoled Plus screen this has been price slashed and discontinued for quite a while now. Sometimes people don't realise what they're missing / what they've lost until it's almost gone / gone.
      Screen virtues aside there may never be a tablet with this build quality at this pricepoint ever again. Seriously.
      Incidentally, this has almost exactly twice the battery life of the Toshiba AT270.

    Great tablet, but $200 is the max price to pay for it in 2013.
