Help me find a cheap flight to Europe?

Hi! I'm going to Europe soon (next few months) and am looking for the cheapest flight. It's hard for me to find, since I'm flexible- I don't care which country in Europe the flight's to, and I don't care about the date or time of the flight.

But I don't know how long I'll be in Europe for… so I'm hoping for a ticket where the return date can be changed. Or even better, an open-jaw ticket (which means you can return home from a different city than the one you arrived in -do they still do those?).

So I was hoping someone may have noticed a good deal going to Europe?

I'm under 26 (so can use some of the student-y type places also).

I have found that the cheapest way is to use scoot to Singapore …and then get a cheap flight from Singapore return to somewhere, anywhere in Europe . then use Ryan air to get where you want to go for about $50 or less … for example we were planning to go to europe in january (it fell through) but i had planned a trip syd to sing $150 scoot then sing to vienna on KLM $800 ret week in austria then drop the hire car off at a airport Ryanair service and off to britain. Also wait for accor specials and get %50 off your novatel hotel room (often $70 a night and you can fit 4 people in their rooms 5 if you are subtle and small.) We did this via kl 2 years ago worked brilliant before airasia stopped europe flights.

  • I did an overseas trip a month ago, and was surprised to find that a series of one way tickets on different airlines was significantly cheaper than getting round trip / open jaw tickets. Again, that may have been due to my specific itinerary. Anyway, a good site to compare pricing is www.kayak.com And if you put in an itinerary, it sends you a daily / weekly update of pricing on that route.

    • +1 for Kayak. I used it for every flight and hotel booking during a three-month Europe trip and it was unbelievable. I often found the cheapest airfares and hotel rates on there.

Also, I missed my Amsterdam > London flight. While waiting for the airline counter attendant to find me another one, I used Kayak and on the spot managed to find another flight that was cheaper and earlier than a flight the attendant eventually found for me.

  • Thanks for your replies, I'll check out those websites!

I'm worried with one way tickets that I won't be able to get in to the country (without proof I have a flight to take me out). I'm probably landing in London, would this be a likely issue?
