Cheap/low end VPS

I'm on the hunt for a good/ low latency VPS that is:

I'm fairly competent in linux systems, so barebones is fine.

Does anyone know of any good deals?

Yeah LowEndBox / LowEndTalk pretty much sums up all the cheap VPS although most of them would be US and EU based. Getting a US West Coast VPS would be ~180ms to Sydney. Low enough latency for you? Maybe CloudShards which is run by an OzBargain member in Sydney?
