My trial version of Adobe Lightroom 4 is about to expire so I've been looking for the best place to buy a copy. To buy a download version from Adobe costs about $180 from Adobe. buytec was the best price I could find at $89.95. It almost seems too good to be true. A buytec rep confirmed via email that this is the full version and not the upgrade version.
I don't. How can you tell anything is genuine from a resellers website?

Don't be QQ if it takes them longer than normal, Bundy is mostly underwater and I doubt they'd have internet access at the moment.
Who asked for their address? Does this make it genuine?
I buy mine from Adobe, wouldn't trust getting it from anywhere else. Except boxed copies at major retailers.
I should mentioned that while I found this deal I have not purchased from them. If anyone does it would be great if they could confirm the download is valid.

Yes. That's how I read it. You can do the same from the Adobe website for $180 (for an extra $25 you get the DVD)
I would be 99% confident that it is the academic version
If someone in your family is eligible for the student and education version, you must as well go down that path. Same full version at a lower price to the full retail version.
Why do people say this? You're not just paying for the software, but the license too. If you're not using it as a student or for educational purposes, you'd essentially be paying for nothing as the license would be invalid.
Cheapest I've seen the full (not academic) version sold was US$80 for a digital download at Amazon (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85714) although that deal has well and truly finished. So AUD$90 is not impossible…..

it's ebay but I was searching for a long time. the serial number registered fine on Adobe's website without issues.
this seller is very fast in responding too. 43160 100% positive rating.
Back to this deal above, I think it's a very good deal for that price and we're also supporting Australian business. (if they are genuine).
