Hello, I have a question regarding about postage, does anyone know how much it would cost for postage for an item that is 8kg! Coz it's a ebay item and I wrote $35 as postage for standard, am I losing anything here? Thanks.

What size is it? Look up clickandsend.com.au
Look up the sizes of Ausposts boxes, if your item will fit in any box (bx1,bx2 or bx4 from memory) then it will cost under $20 through click and send (up to 15kg for any of those boxes) then it will cost for whatever you cover it with and the cost of the box.
If you are not aware, they calculate the volume of the parcel as well and they have maximum girth requirements. So 100g of inflated balloons might cost more to post than a 1kg brick.
I highly suggest if it isn't fragile to use a mob call e-go (www.e-go.com.au) owned by Hunter Express. They have extremely great rates on big heavy items, picked up from your door and delivered usually next business day depending on where the destination is.
E-go used to be good but from what i've read they've gone to shit the last few years, expensive items going missing an awful lot…
I bought a pram on eBay ten years ago. The seller put the postage as 25 dollars. It cost over a hundred for him to post to Perth from the eastern states.
I'd be careful. If bidders think you are profiting from postage they will adjust their bids accordingly. You could also get negative feedback.
Surely you could report negative feedback to eBay based on postage costs and get it removed, after all if the postage cost is entered before the item is listed then the buyer should have already been aware of what they were getting in to.
Doubt it. A lot of people don't bother to look. I am confident that ebay would not cancel it. Even if they did, it would be a hassle. I am sure they wouldn't. Generally speaking the only negative feedback that can be removed is that left by buyers that you have filed a non-paying dispute on.
You can calculate the postage here. This link is for domestic parcel postage.
