Just on Navman - a comment about the excellent warranty service I experienced.
I have an S80, while driving in a rental car the power cable slipped inside the steering column, pulled taught when I turned and promptly snapped off at the GPS end. I called Navman about obtaining a replacement (after the generic cable I bought on ebay didnt work) and they immediately offered a free replacement under warrranty. I clearly described what had occurred ie. Operator error on my behalf, none the less they replaced it free.

Just phoned Paramatta DSE they are denying they ever sold the Navman S35 for that price. I think you may have been lucky.
I also phoned Parramatta store on the 29th Dec, told S35 was now $278 and only on special before Xmas for $239, yes 'Nowhere to be Seen' is an accurate description. It really is on special at Domayne for $227 as part of their half yearly sale right now.
This was $248 a month ago when I purchased it, so this is a great bargain. Official DSE price is still even $278:

But the great thing about navman, is that they are offering free 2009 maps by redemption.
And with GPS's, you definitely want the latest maps you can get your hands on.
Also note, maps cost $150+ on Garmin, Tomtom, Navman, so a free 2009 map is a bargain.
