Spotify Premium Subscription Using G2A Not Working(solved)

I purchased a Spotify premium subscription for 12 months using a Spotify key from G2A marketplace from Codesful.

I initially did not use VPN to change the location when buying the subscription. After buying the subscription, I used India Planet VPN to connect to India, set the location to Delhi and entered the premium code and tried to redeem the code but I got 'Oops! Something went wrong, please try again.' error.

When contacting the seller, they said to try the VPN method and if it doesn't work, they can't do anything as I bought a code that is region locked to India.

Anyone got any solutions?

  I just bought off G2G by handing over my login details. They registered it in Nigeria using Gpay. Changed the password and good to go. $20. It sounds risky but I think it's less risky than getting a family spot from another country. Just in case, I've set Spotify to Nigeria in ControlD, although I think this may be superfluous as a premium account can be used anywhere.

  Did you set your region in Spotify? You need to turn on your VPN, log into spotify, set the region to India then redeem the code.

    I changed it before, it did not work. I logged out again and logged in again, it worked now!!

  Just completed this as my Indian account expired. Using G2A and Codesful followed the instructions, everything worked instantly. Wish I looked on the comments mentioning G2G as it looks like Egypt is cheaper now.
