    Waiting for Broden…

  • I think we OzBargain professionals will steer clear of this one ;)

    • its obviously a pricing error, even after they accept your payment they will just tell you it was really only an "offer to purchase" and keep your money for a couple of months.

i really wanted one of these as well.

  • lol

+1 for me, tho its obviously going to end up either in the forum or deleted…. good work :)

  • Must be the best TV ever. I'll take two.

Anyone know any stores that will beat the price by 5% of the difference?

  • Wow…so this is what you call the opposite of a bargain :)

  • +2

    cheap by Harvey's standards!

  • i remember back when sony launched a 70" LCD tv for an actual RRP of $70,000

  • Will it hold its value? you lose 178000 as soon as its delivered.

…And interest free… How very generous!

Hah! Sucks to be you, Gerry - I parallel imported one from Hong Kong for only $168,000!!

  • Leave them alone. They do have to charge GST after all. That is why their price is higher than you can get it for from those overseas websites. Blame the government.

    • +1

For $168,000 you would also get charged GST importing it yourself as it's well above the threshold.

For $179,500 I would want Sharapova and other hot Russian tennis players to come to my house and play tennis live on the XBox

  • It says only $1795 for me, extra zeros aren't there. Not that it's a bargain even with the fixing of the price error.

    • Obviously their system doesn't have any kind of sanity checking on keyed in info, which was the problem with the slate debacle also.

  • I should resell the one I got at Xmas for $1190 - fat profits!

  • Anyone want to try buying it at that price to see whether they will "honour" the price error or not? I would think that, unlike the tablet, they will send you the TV and keep your money!!

    • i checked my paypal and was only about 179499 short…

as poor form as HN have been, i really dont think they would charge someone $180k odd for a tv. there would be a huge shitstorm of bad press and chargebacks etc and they would come out looking more stupid than usual, but id love to have the cash spare to have tried.

    Remote isn't backlit. No Deal.

  • +2

it'd be awesome if they had a "good guys" policy, where they'll refund 120% of the difference …

    179500 vs 1795 …

sooooo, they take 179500, then refund around 213246 …

    33746 profit!! PYRAMID SCHEME WIN!!

  • worth every penny IMO
