I use to work @ Oates. And all i say to you is, it may be a good design, but i definatly wouldn't be using it on my floors especially if you got kids around. The amount of chemicals that gets put into that sponge is scary. I remember working there handling the sponge & your hands would swell up & burn by the end of thr day. That's gotta tell you something.
Unless you've got kids that are going to lick the floors or the mop sponge, I wouldnt worry too much about it.
Get their super wide mop. I get mine from Bunnings. (Says it's approx 30% wider than a standard sponge mop).
Works quite well and I'm a clean freak. It's about $16 but lasts quite a while.
i have one of these. it rusted within 2 weeks. its also hard to change the sponge which needs to be done regularly. but i like this sort of mop so i stick with it.
