I got my Usher s520s for $270 from The Cable Connection in Melbourne (sold as ex-demo but was assured they'd only been used once and had a couple of very minor nicks) after emailing re: what the best price they could offer was (used this eBay page for bargaining purposes). I'd suggest just calling/emailing a few places and see what they can offer you, also you might be able to knock a little bit off depending on the colour/finish they have available.
As for a receiver I'm using a 30+ year old Luxman l-1 amplifier that I had lying around and it works like a charm :)
