Hi,
I bought the Jamo S 426 when Amazon had them on sale (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88465).
Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get some cheap speaker stands for the rears? ie. less than $50
The rear speakers are approx 12x13cm.
Looking on eBay, there are a 'theatre stands' being sold by ozplaza, but the top plates are not big enough.
The same seller also sell other speaker stands, but then the top plate is massive!
Other than this, everything seems to be $100+
Some nifty ideas on ikeahackers.net

Taking some prompts from their ideas (especially the first link), I made up my own speaker stand from a white powder coated table leg (I think this one http://www.ikea.com/aa/en/catalog/products/00217976/#/802179… )and a White Vacuum Formed small cupboard door from the "As Is" section.
Total cost $12 (plus a spare cupboard door, they were 2 for $5).
I just drilled through the centre of the door, spade bit cut out an indent in the bottom, then threaded the plastic height adjustment "bolt" through the hole and screwed the leg tight. Then screwed the speaker onto the top-plate of the leg.
Looks good and does the job for my right surround which looks of similar size to the Jamo's. (left surround is in a bookcase)
