Qantas Epiqure (Mixed Selection Two) 1 x mixed dozen pack - $144 down from $360 (website error?)

190

Huge savings on this mixed pack deal, as spotted this morning, so get in quick!

This is no dodgy wine club pack - each of the listed wines are premium, well known drops and range from a usual price of $34 - $52 per bottle, which makes them a bargain at $12 each.

This mixed dozen pack includes 2 each of:

Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2009 (EDIT: Dan Murphy price $36.09 each for 6)
Giant Steps Sexton Chardonnay 2007 (EDIT: Dan Murphy price $35.15 each for 6)
Picardy Chardonnay 2009 (EDIT: Dan Murphy price $39.89 each for 6)
SC Pannell Shiraz Grenache 2007 (EDIT: Dan Murphy price $52.25 each for 6)
St Hallett Scholz Estate Vineyard Shiraz 2009 (EDIT: Epiqure price $33.99 each for 6)

Note that a sixth wine, a very delectable Grosset springvale riesling, is pictured alongside the wines above, however is not listed - so unsure if the pack will include this wine (they may substitute it with something else). There will definitely be 12 bottles included however. While this may be a website error, in my experience, Epiqure have always honoured these. Epiqure members only.

EDIT: If you recently joined up Epiqure as part of the free promotion, and purchase this as your first dozen, you'll receive 2000 bonus points.

Probably about the right price. In today's glutted market they were dreaming at $360!! ALSO the purchase requires you to take out a $99 Qantas Epiqure membership making the REAL total cost $243!! This is called bait and switch in the scamming world. LOL!!

Most of us managed to acquire membership via a free promo code. Hopefully the Dan Murphys prices speak for themselves.

      • Who exactly are 'most of us'?? I see some other OzBargainers below (anat, mini2) who didn't make the cut!!

        • Yeah but quite a lot of us did :D

        • most of us = "me"

The membership when you pay for it includes a bottle of Billycart so, whilst not being as good as free, if you like that bubbly its probably worth $55 to $60 of the $99 membership. I got in on a $59 membership that included the billycart, then saw the freebee after got pi55ed then realised it was pretty much the same anyway given i liked the Billycart.

Suggest pricing them up at Dan Murphys and then see if you think the same! Oops, you just did!

Looks like a great deal, just bought a case. Good spot adelee.

Do people still drink Chardonnay? (Puts on flame proof jacket…)

    • +1

There is a huge oversupply of Chardonnay (and wine in general) in the marketplace; especially with Australian wine exports drying up post-GFC (which is why most wine sold is still the 2009 / 2010 vintage). Australians still perfer a Marlbourgh Sauvignon Blanc.

The Reds and the Riesling should be very nice though.

      • there's some interesting things coming our in the chardy world, a few new styles that are attempting to reinvent the style … it's looking good so far!!

  • Read title as 24 bottles but its not, its one dozen only for $144

    • Same here. Now I'm gutted.

      • fair enough, have updated title to minimise any confusion.

Dammit I knew I should have signed up during the free promo!

  • all gone :(

  • Nope, just got one. Thanks OP. Hope the whites are not too far past their prime…

    • seems to depend on who you are, i tried an hour ago by the website and phone and got no luck either way.

    • Yeh, I tried about an hour ago as well…. no dice, but then again I'm only QFF Silver. Maybe Gold or Platinum members can still get one?

      • I've got a gold FF membership. Tried enrolling into the Epicure membership. It's $99 a year so I didn't join up.

  • showing as out of stock for me (silver member).

  • It appears that this deal has now been removed from the site.

  • Amazing - got mine delivered this morning, after ordering yesterday morning. Thanks, Epiqure!
