Went to my local Dick Smith today and found an Energizer dual Wii wireless charging station for $10 which I thought was a great price. The only one I can find on the site is the quad charger, which I've linked to - it's the same thing but a dual, not a quad.

The set comes with two battery packs that you insert where the regular AA batteries would go. You then put the Energizer back onto the remote (almost identical to the original backing and has 2 x white and 2 x black) and you're done. So in short you use the battery pack provided, not batteries.
I would be careful about those charging docs as I remember a while back dicksmith had another brand selling them for like $5 or cheaper and i bought a few only to find out they fking dont work for shit. this is a different brand though. Just read reviews first i think would be good.
Yeah I bought a quad charging station from ebay a while back, the stupid thing never worked. This one does though, mine are fully charged now and the great thing is you can charge them with the silicone cover on, which you couldn't do with my previous one.
yer i had ones that said u can do with silicone cover on but still wouldnt last more then 20 mins

Nice Deal. Bad product. I bought one of these when they were just released for like $50. After 2 months worth of charge, it stopped working. You really cannot leave the controllers on the mat all the time or else they will kill then batteries - hence why they are trying to get rid of this product.
I bought a dual charger with the batteries that click in rather than AAs a while ago (not wireless). They are still going strong although one just stopped working when I dropped it recently although they've been going good for about 2 years. I play the Wii every day for ~2hrs.
Is it Qi standard? Can I charge a Lumia 920 with it?
Of course not. Can your Lumia be used as a Wii Remote?
Ahem. If I may… It can actually. This charger has been proven to work very well as a cheap alternative to a Lumia-esque Wireless Charger solution such as the Fatboy pillow. Both use the Qi standard so yes, this will work.
Proof:
I have had the 2 unit charger for about 8 months now. They work good and still hold charge satisfactorily. The part nos is PL7581AU on the box. I had bought a couple of those nameless Chinese ones before and they were a bucket of shite.

I do not have a memorex one, but i have attached a pic of the batteries that come with the energiser, they look like 2 AAA batteries. I have put a link to the pic if that helps. I tried charging the chinese ones but that did not work.

I have the brand new quad energizer charger but I have not opened it and wondering if I should return it and just get the this twin pack x 2 for $20 instead of the $40.
Assuming you can find it of course - I know the one I bought at Armadale Central (WA) was the last one, and you can't find stock using their website.

Does it charge only energizer batteries or also charge Eneloop? Is it a timed or smart charger that won't cook your batteries?
