    Best in world is free

    • Firewall yeah. AV no.

  • Norton does indeed suck, but nice deal!

  • I wouldn't use Norton even if you paid me $50.

  • No negs purely because Norton sucks…

What about negs because you can get better products for free???

  • Such a shame they increased the price.. It was around ~$10 cheaper last month (including shipping)

I won't give it a negative because it sucks, but I'm tempted to give it a negative because, as you so eloquently put it, "norton is shit". ;)

  • There may well be a cashback offer you can combine with this purchase to make it cheaper than free….

    • There's never any cash back offer on an OEM which is what this is.

  • Isn't it past it's use by date? :)

  • Thanks for sharing. Excellent value

I don't know why people don't like NAV. Its improved a lot over the years. It is install and forget - just does its work in the background.

    • Not nearly as good as the Bitdefender Total Security 2013 which i'm using and i paid $23 for it.

And note that Norton Internet Security 2012 does not support Windows 8 so if you're running that don't bother buying. NIS 2012 is 2 years old and outdated. No wonder Centrecom is letting it go for $5.

I bet a lot of you people running Windows 8 are in for a let down when you try to install your NIS 2012 that would be $5 down the drain. You need to upgrade to NIS 2013 for Windows 8 support.

  • Didn't pay too much attention (given it's Norton), but popped into my local HN and they are selling it for $50 with a sign saying $50 cash back = ie. FREE!

    • It's actually Norton 360 2013 for $50 with a $50 cash back which you're talking about and that is compatible with Windows 8. So you're basically getting Norton 360 for free. Beats Norton Internet Security 2012 hands down since it's got more features plus Windows 8 support.

  • Are there any shortcuts around the Norton deal?
Like a way to buy a few copies and get the cash back without activating each copy?
