On the front of this week's Woolies catalogue, I saw Bulla's Creamy Chocolate Coated icecream ($3.50, one of this week's half price big sales.)
On Wednesday morning as soon as the offer commences, I went into one of my local Woolies (Peninsula Fair in Kippa Ring QLD, which is fairy a large Woolies to me.) and I have been told that they don't stock them!
Can that be possible?
I am telling you that they are large enough to be able to accommodate good range of icecream varieties!
Is it possible? Well yes, they didn't have any.
certainly possible, but also pretty unlikely if they are a decent sized store….maybe try another nearby store. There was plenty at my local (smaller) store.
Did they say they don't stock them ever? Or just ran out of stock? It is possible that they ordered it in and it didn't arrive for whatever reason (the freezer load usually comes in the morning, it could have been late). Otherwise if they do not stock them at that store, it could be for a number of reasons. Hopefully you are able to find some at another woolies and get the deal there.

unless you spoke to the perishables manager, there is a good chance she didn't know what she was talking about.
Talking to someone who has perished is usually a waste of time too.
You may be able to get a raincheck but I am not entirely sure (as that is not generally my area). It is worth asking, because I am pretty sure rainchecks are offered if the item is usually stocked (and not a one-off special or similar).
The woolies i go to (inner Sydney) stock them.
Worth an ask I reckon. I work at a fairly small-ish supermarket and we sometimes don't have products in the catalogue - not that we've run out or anything, we simply don't stock them. Yes - if they did stock them and ran out, they would offer a raincheck. Otherwise, see if you can get hold of the relevant manager, they should be able to offer you a similar product at the same price.
