Comment: Lots of Saturday’s sold out already
I went last year at full price and thought it wasn’t worth it but for 50% off, I’ll take the kids again.
Paid $36.74 for two adults total.

We went last year and the whole experience was quite underwhelming even for our daughter. Hopefully they’re improving year on year but I think we’ll sit this one out even at 50% off..

    • +1

I too, thought it was underwhelming. As expected, food was overpriced (typical food truck style). At least there was plenty of parking I suppose.

      • At least there was plenty of parking I suppose.

It's that because hardly anyone turned up?

    • Thanks so much for your feedback — we really appreciate it. We listened closely to everything guests shared with us last year, and we’re excited to say GLOW is back bigger, brighter, and better than ever! This year we’ve added over 200 brand-new animal lanterns, interactive light sculptures, new rides, and heaps more to explore. We'd absolutely love to have you back to experience all the improvements — we think you’ll be blown away by how much it’s grown!

If you can draw us all an outline of the Sydney region, we can answer your question.

    • +1

      Are you from Queensland?

    • +1

It's the one that is slightly closer to the geographical/population centre of Sydney (Rydalmere/Dundas area) than Taronga, if that helps at all :)

  • +1

Do you get to see the animals or is it just the lights

    • +4

      Just lights to be honest

      • Thanks for the info!

      • +6

yes, went last year, most animals were asleep / nowhere to be seen. the lighting is underwhelming, like a very poor man's vivid. food overpriced and bland as expected. at this price, maybe ok, set expectations to low

  • Borrrring

  • Went last year, pretty average I would say. Avoid.

  • It’s not worth it even at half price based on last years experience.

  • Friday 9 May to Saturday 31 May 2025

Sydney Zoo, 700 Great Western Hwy, Bungarribee NSW 2767.

The GLOW Light Walk is open 6:00pm to 9:30pm and the GLOW Zone is open from 5:30pm until 10:00pm.

Tickets include access to the GLOW Light Walk which is an illuminated path through sections of the zoo, the Aquarium, and Reptile house. All other areas of the zoo are not accessible during the event.

  • Been going to the Toronga Zoo for 25+ years, have to say, the last 2-3 visits have been shocking. The zoo feels incredibly unkept and unloved, feels a little like they’re complacent, they seem to have so many sponsors as well.

I hear the other zoo is better might give a try

  • If u r an adult this is the worst lol. Went 3 years ago, it’s absolutely trash. Like just some flowing statues and a super slow cable car ride

  • @Sydney Zoo Roar! Maximum ticket limit exceeded. Please reduce the quantity.
    Just 4 adult tickets.
    What gives?

    • Hi @Sydney Zoo
I messed up my booking date in trying to troubleshoot the error up above - can you please help in changing? I know T&C says no changing, but I have 4 tickets that no one can attend. 😭😬

  • Didn't know there was a second zoo in Sydney until now!

    • +1

yeah the other one is in mt druitt

  • +1

Waste of money. Yeah feel free to negged me, but it is what it is. Never again.

    • Agreed 100%. And it's also cold and dark at night making it not safe for kids.

  • "Promotion not found" - not sure if I'm doing something wrong?

    • +1

      same here, maybe sold out?

  • +2

Honestly, this stuff is often underwhelming. It’s puzzling why these places don’t strive for world-class experiences like those in Singapore. It’s always disappointing to encounter mediocre rides, light shows and attractions in a first-world country. They can do so much better.

I am not only referring to the zoos but also amusement parks, light and music shows and so on..

    • As an expat who spent eight years living in New Zealand, even this event feels like a world-class experience..
