I personally think the normal prices are way too much… such a discount brings them down to levels that are more appropriate (in my opinion). I don't particularly think of them as a 'bargain' at this price, but it definitely is a bargain compared to normal.
Yes the maps are terribly expensive - and worse - its almost the same price if buying the map new or upgrading.
This sale is good - even better if/when the aus$ recovers a bit (those prices are $us). Since we have a while on the offer I'm going to hold off and pray for exchange rate goodness.

When I enter in the Australian map option, it displays "AUD 79.95".Prices are in AU$, I just checked my Visa statement.
well thats impressive - I looked at it via the tomtom upgrade/store in their (tomtom home) application and that was showing me it in $us… must be a setting for location
