Many shops don’t have a display unit to try out.
Many? I can't imagine any would have communal display earphones because that would be disgusting.
Your best bet would be buying from Apple directly and returning within 7 days.
the apple store has ones you can try
🤢
@PainToad: They do have a disinfection process, you can see that take place in the Apple Store and enquire about it.
But yes, understand your emoji concern.
I used to work at Apple - every time the Airpods are used for demo, they're thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl wipes.
just don't smudge it with your ear wax, use alcohol to sterilise when you return
What would apple do with the returned airpods?
Tim Cook wears them then he repackages it
Apparently Amazon accept returns even if worn last time I checked with support. YMMV so check with Amazon support before buying
Best price last time I bought on Black Friday I got it for $209.
From memory the ATL for the Non ANC model was around $175 from Costco, when you were able to price beat with Officeworks for $166.25.
Good price - though I'd recommend having a look on FB Marketplace, the Back to Uni promotion flooded the market with them. I got effectively brand new ANC ones for $180.
I managed to get a brand new with ANC for $170. I had to investigate ton of posts to filter the honest seller. Very high chance of getting the fake one, wouldn’t recommend.
I have found this on ebay.
Can if be beaten by OW for even better price

Any Android headphones?
These work with Android
And there are tons of TWS buds out there, what exactly are you asking?
What’s the best way to check if this fits my ear? Many shops don’t have a display unit to try out.
