  • Are you allowed to carry a penknife in public these days?

    • In SA no. The law doesn't define what a knife is. You would be unlikely to get in trouble for it though.

    • In qld

a person may carry a pen knife or swiss army knife for use for its normal utility purpose.

      Not in WA

If penknives are outlawed, only outlaws will have penknives.

sounds like something a gun loving American would say

    • +1

They banned knives, so criminals have to obey and stop carrying machetes. Cant wait for them to ban alcohol

  • Allowed in flights?

    • -4

Honestly yeah it should be, but more of a nope in sentiment. Check-in.

    • Definitely no in cabin

    • You'd never get this past a metal detector.

    • No way in hand luggage.

      Check it in.

      Allowed in flights?

yes, but you need to hide in your ass

      • Yep tho don't be like me. Make sure to close it before.

          So did it hurt?

      • +1

Will it fit with a watch? I need to get it back to my partners son.

      • Exactly why they invented full body scanners

    • A few years ago, catching a flight from Prague with only hand luggage, I had nail clippers confiscated by Czech security!

    • You'd potentially get flagged on records for even trying.

    • No. My wife packed my Victorinox (smaller model) in my carry on and they measured the blade against a sticker on the counter and it was 6cm or more, so it was confiscated. Bangkok, but I would assume similar rules apply elsewhere. Hell, I even had my [expensive] Repel travel umbrella confiscated in Manila airport but I reckon the officer might have just fancied it for himself.

Who TF would down vote this?

Whoever did is a Wayne Kerr.

Not seeing the special price, anyone else?

Also are you even allowed to carry these in Vic?

  • Good price! I managed to get one on Thursday but when I was going to post, saw that it had 3 or so qty remaining.
    Nice that they restocked!
