Issues with Used Apple Magic Keyboard for 12.9” Gen 5 iPad Pro

I’m looking to purchase a used/refurb MKB for my iPad Pro 12.9.

Are there any issues to look for?
Any known issues that I should be aware of?

  • I recently purchased 2 x 11-inch and one 13-inch, all pre-owned; no issues whatsoever, fabulous accessory. I also acquired a Moft Snap Case(moft.us) to secure my pencil.

    • Excellent thanks, it’s pretty cool how that snap case works.

  • I got one for my gen 1 12.9 iPad Pro years ago and I'm using it now on my M2 13 inch iPad Air (got the Air to use Pencil Pro), the keyboard is a beast, very high quality. It was very expensive so you'd hope so.

    • Yes I want to buy something cheaper, 3rd party, but I believe MKB has the highest quality.

This is the problem no matter what you get for it/from it.

  • I'm a fan of the Brydge iPad keyboards. Not quite Apple quality, but very good, and much more affordable.
    Take a look on eBay.

    • Thanks, I did see them. I really like the large trackpad and functions keys.

      • I have had ones for normal iPads, not the big pros, but would buy again.
They went broke and got sold, and I have heard newer models might not be as good.
But when they went broke heaps of brand new stock got liquidated, so you can often get the models from a year or two ago for very cheap.

        • Good to get feedback on them. Did you find your palms touching the trackpad while typing?
