Click coupon for 10% off. Decent price for 10Gbit networking!
It's at an all time low AND 10% off so is a decent price.

362 stars, 4.5 stars, would say so.

So you are not a Dyl ?
I'm more of a dilligaf
Hard pass. Wheres that TP Link from earlier.
Link? Didn't see it
I'd pay extra for a TP Link, but never seen them under ~350-400 for 6 ports.
Link?
No, TP-Link.
It's a Chinese company that manufactures network equipment and smart home products.
The company name was based on the concept of "Twisted Pair link".
lol
https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Desktop-Unmanaged-Auto-Neg… It's $349 currently (best price ever), so ~$125 off for going with a no brand, and you get 1 extra port (though 2 are SFP not all RJ45)
This one is also managed but I wouldn't count that as the software likely sucks given it's a no brand
Also apparently this is 5v 1a, so can run off USB with a USB-DC cable
SFP is even more valuable than RJ45
It's unmanaged
How did they come up with such weird brand names ? Cut cost AI ?
I think it is from binary and data. 😁
Or the 4x2.5Gb + 2x10G SFP+ variant from the same brand that is much cheaper, if you don't need all 10GbE ports: https://www.amazon.com.au/Binardat-Managed-Ultra-Mini-Multi-…
That one is an unmanged switch so the port speeds are not the only significant difference.
One of the options in the listing has management options.
These switches are all white-label solution switches. The only differences between managed and unmanaged models are flash size and firmware.
management isn't a great feature on cheap switches, unless you have a really specific reason to have it (VLAN tagging or advanced networking or something), there's not many neat consumer features it provides
Running one of these at the moment. Fans are pretty "screamy" for having in the room with you, and my heatsinks were stuck on pretty poorly. Tore mine apart, replaced some of the heatsinks and put some itty bitty noctuas in it, and it's running pretty well now. Menu system isn't well designed, by my god it surfaces options.
Speeds are pretty good, in line with all the other cheapy Realtek 9303 switches that are floating around.
It's 5V according to reviews, how did you manage noctuas? Or are those reviews wrong?
What are speeds? Does it reach close to full 10Gbit?
The ones that came out were 12v, so I just used 12v noctuas: https://imgur.com/a/Cqn6OWz
Didn't think to measure it tbh, but they're keeping it cool now. Full jank mode tho: https://imgur.com/a/QRDSYmx
I can only measure 10gb to my UDM-SE, and it struggles with iperf3 above about 7gb/s, but I have a 5gbe desktop on it, with a 10gbe server and openspeedtest can hit 49xx pretty quickly
Damn, was hoping I could power it off a powerbank
Decent speeds for the price
@Dyl: Power brick is 12v 2A output, so you might be able to find a usb-c PD cable that you could hack to make it give 12v 3A output.
I have questions about the situation that requires you to power a 10gbe/sfp+ managed switch with a powerbank tho……
@demomanca: I have a 12v UPS, but power banks are easier to replace
They last a LOT longer if you power them DC-DC instead of DC-AC-DC (12v-240v-12v) on a standard UPS
You can get easily 30+ hours on a 10,000mAh powerbank for a standard 1Ah rated 5v switch
Got sick of UPS only lasting ~10 minutes with just the WiFi and switch(es) on it (or 20-30 for my upgraded 12v12ah x2 UPS)
What size noctua did you use / do you know the model? Might DIY it myself too if it's loud Edit: oh photo shows it nvm
Is this a genuine Binardat?
