Assorted Skylanders (Series 1) single characters $5 each (1/2 price) at Kmart.
Each store should have a heap of stock from what I have seen at the store I work at.
Figurines work on both the original Skylanders and Skylander Giants games.
Set 1: Cynder, Stump Smash, Stealth Elf, Wham Shell, Sonic Boom and Prism Break
-Firle, Tweed Heads, Ashfield, Belconnen
Set 2: Hex, Lightning Rod, Dino-Rang, Zook, Warnado and Camo
-Broadway, Tuggeranong

I think the joke was supposed to be that the son has all the Skylanders ever made, e.g. tens/hundreds of thousands of each model.

Yep my son has them all also just waiting on the third wave of Skylander giants and he will have all of the skylander giants also.

According to the second to last page of each catalogue 24 hour stores are meant to go on sale at 8 am on Thursday.
Are these Skylanders only for kids? Do Adults play this game?
Also how many in the Series 1 set? Link to list?
Really a kids game, but I enjoy playing with my son. Kinda like how I enjoy reading Dr.Seuss books
There are 32 Skylanders in series 1 set. and 4 adventure packs
24 of these 32 Skylanders are re-posed for season 2 while the other 8 were dropped.
All series 1 Skylanders work with the season 2 game (Giants)

Had a look at my local kmart today (Belconnen ACT), had a mountain of stock, but only about 5 varieties on sale which was a bit disappointing. Still, great price if you need the figures they have available!
Which 5 did they have?
slam bam, wham clam, prism break, stealth elf, whirlwind and cynder I think? I might've gotten the names wrong too sorry, pretty new to this skylander thing :-p I couldn't find ANY fire element guys at all, which is what I needed to round out my collection to get one of each.
Yeah I was looking for some fire as well but none to be found.
Same story at Tuggeranong too I'm afraid…checked there after work today and while they had a few other figures (lightning rod, hex, dino-rang and another air/water I can't recall), there was still no sign of any fire guys at all.
I think I picked up 6 different ones today. I'll have to have a look tonight to see what they are. It'd be interesting to know if they are all the same or not.
Definitely not the same as I picked up 11 different ones.
Which shop was this from? Which ones did you manage to pick up?
KMart Garden City WA had very very little stock, only a few available.
Kardinya WA had a much larger range and more stock, about 8-10 series 1 models available.
looks like each store gets different batches of 5-6 types of the $5 ones.

today 6pm ashfield & broadway nsw has lots.
(thought they would have run out).
ashfild has hex, lightning-rod, dino-rang,zook, warnado, camo.
braodway has sonic-boom,cynder, stealth-elf,stump-smash, prism-break.
I would also like to add Kmart at Woodridge QLD has the ones that onecentless mentioned above. Please share if others are available around the brisbane area.

Kmart Tweed Heads (Gold Coast) has Prism Break, Stump Smash, Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom and one lonely Wham Shell. Kmart Robina (also GC) had a similar set, but included Hex.
It's a pity I didn't know this was coming though, as I bought my son 2 of the Series 1 characters at $10 last week thinking they were a good bargain!
Just visited Kmart in Australia Fair (Broadbeach) … they have Dino Rang, Hex, Zook, Warnado, Cynder, Camo and that bloke that looks like Zeus.

Yesterday, I went to KMart and still can see $5 skylanders series 1.
And they got a new set of characters: Double trouble, Dropbot, Ignitor, Wham shell, whirlwind
I was travelling along the Mid Coast and went into a Kmart, not sure on the town, but this was still going on, 19th of Feb, I scored a Dino-Rang, Zook, Warnado, Cynder, Camo & Hex for $5 each, plus the Skylanders Tower Case for $25, so like the above poster, not sure why this is saying expired?
This was set to automatically expire when it was a catalogue sale but after the sale it was kept as a regular price item and I can't edit it to mark it as not expired.
