Yeah a family member got one for their 4x4. They are 'ok'. You can find the units on aliexpress way cheaper, but what you're really paying CJI for is the plastic bits to make them fit into your car and local support to ask questions.
Make sure you do the firmware update that isn't listed anywhere until you speak to CJI about solving issues you are having.

As for Android Auto and Apple car play, its using an app called zlink, it seems to work ok. We had issues with it connecting after install that the firmware update seems to have fixed.
Stereo controls worked for us, just had to learn them. So that was nice.
Works With Factory Reverse Camera: USE CAMERA PROVIDED
This means that the new head unit does not work with the factory camera. You need to install the camera they provide in the box!! Which was a bit of a catch, as you have to run the wire from the head unit to the back, and pickup power from the reversing lights for it. Making the factory one useless.
Honestly if you have room for a double din stereo that will slot straight in and can live with the smaller screen, maybe look at brand name head unit you can get off the shelf from Sony, Pioneer or JVC? Not sure if they work with steering wheel controls or backup camera either. Have a read.
Otherwise these units work ok, but don't buy the base one, get the one mid range one with more RAM/ROM, like the 6gb/128gb model.
No, but looks like they got the same Android headunit off Aliexpress. I would look into a double din with fascia or an integration kit if it's one of those cars with satnav/infotainment systems
