Ah I didn't realise you could do that, I was going to share my link but then realised it was user specific
They're $8.99 on promo at Costco so probably just doing a quiet price beat. Good pick up
They do this so you can’t do the 10% price beat. It’s sneaky as F because they don’t list the new “sale price” anywhere. Been caught out before.
Officeworks has left the chat. Dressed like Snake from MGS.
Costco does not stock all sizes I need 26” and 16” for my Corolla they only have 26” and I was at casula yesterday I only seen small amount there
Can I ask what year Corolla?
2007
Any idea when the promo ends?
Yesterday was the costco deal's last day. If bunnings is just beating costco, it might be the same as well.
When? Must been one day sale. $18.99 Costco now
How to check if this fits my car?
Also are these the front two?Your manual should specify the size required. The size may be different for passenger and driver side.
Wait so people don't use refills anymore and just replace the whole blade?
Yes I was amazed to discover this recently. Seems very wasteful of resources
I know there are refills but where to buy and how do you know they fit?
You can buy silicone refills at BigW for super cheap and then just the excess with a knife
Repco has refills in exact sizes so you dont have to cut and mess around like a pleb. But I mean whats the point when the markup is higher than buying this from Bunnings…
Do you have a link for the repco refills?
Easier for the dumb ass humans that roam amongst us to replace the whole blade with a single click of a connector. The rubber only components requires extra effort to fit and if you stuff it up can scratch your windscreen*
*This is my guess.
The pivots on the wiper arm do flog out with use and the painted surface does fade/discolour. These are my reasons for getting a complete wiper arm over an insert.
Universal wiper inserts are on par with complete arms for ease of fitment IMHO
Agreed on the user error can cause damage part
Replaced mine last week and was told by no less than 3 staff members that I could just replace the rubber instead of the whole blade.
I'm well aware, and maybe I should hand my ozbargain badge in because I was willing to spend the extra $10 to just undo one clip rather than messing around with cutting and sliding the new insert in. One time I managed to cut my hand decently doing this so am happy every few years to take the suckers approach.
They are poor quality wipers - pass.
what do you use on yours?
Just keep the blade, and replace it with refills; these are of poorer quality than the one that comes with your car.
Source?
The blade that came with my 12-year-old Japanese car is still better built than these. I simply replace the rubber every two years, no issues.
Where do you replace the rubber from?
@movieman: Don't get me wrong, this is a good deal, $8.99 for a complete kit, yet rubbish quality, I just buy the refill from Supercheap, when they are on sale.
@movieman: The wiper refills are available at all auto parts stores - Repco, autobarn, Burson, SCA etc
They’re fine. I had a Tridon and a Michelin from Costco and the Michelin was better than the Tridon despite costing 4 times more.
But don’t go comparing the Michelin to a Bosch aerotwin, difference is very noticeable.
The Michelin will do the job fine for $8.89.
So best to stick with my aero's
These are really bad
These may not be the very latest, but they do seem good quality and I have been using them for a few years now.
What brand do you use please, mysterious one?
What is the material/design?The quality used to be ok. But the last one i bought the rubber failed in a year. Return to oem wipe and replace with silicone refill (this one use different size of refills and difficult to find replacement).
Yeah I've had issues with these wipers on my car. They just smear the water into a complete blur where I genuinely cannot see. The wipe up was ok, the wipe down just smeared. I swapped them around and put them in backwards and it worked for a few days. Absolutely the worst wipers I've used. I also had to downsize from 21 inch to 19 just to reduce the surface area and jitters. However, I bought some for my father and he got 6 months out of them. I wont be buying these for myself. Would love to hear if this has happened to anyone else??
Bunnings West Gosford had discount stickers yesterday across most of the wipers, but I didn't take photos.
Even if it's half price error not worth the trouble, this ain't no Michelin pilot sport tyre. For wiper blade bosch aerotwin or nothing, oem can't even beat it in terms of quality.
Thank you, mystery solved!
Get Bosch Aerotwin. Far better value.
Where you purchaed them from?
Supercheap with price match against spares box eBay.
What. They price match ebay?
Supercheap. Just price match wherever is cheapest.
The Aerotwins were displayed next to these, they are like $40 AUD, does it last 4X as long? Might consider buying those if they do.
Bosh Aerotwin is the absolute best in Australian market
Where you purchaed them from?
Aerotwin are great, but PIAA is up a level again IMHO.
They are dead. But I found the Wipertech far better than the Aerotwin.
Both not in the same league as PIAA.
Yes sad about the Australian supplier closing up, you can still get them sent from OS, but the cost blows out.@1989jdm: I would like to have the piaa silicone ones but cant find it anywhere, overseas one are flipped
At twice the price of Aerotwin, no thanks. And Bosch is available everywhere as well as always on sale. As soon as you see these Wipertech recommended all over the place on Youtube, I knew better not get it. Bosch needs no advertising on a scam platform, just from branding and word of mouth.
@Fuzor: I can get 3 Wipertech blades for my Prado for $79 to my door and Bosh are running at $50 for a single blade at SCA. The Aerotwin chattered straight out of the box on one car, and started streaking on another car within 2 months.
I'm not the only one who thinks they are shit https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/bosch-aerotwin-wip…
Living rural and playing in the mud you need good wipers, and the Aerotwin are simply not as good as the Wipertechs. But you haven't tried both on multiple cars under adverse conditions so you wouldn't know. And you think YouTube is a scam site? Haha!
@LowRange: And I can also find you feedback on how good Bosch is: https://www.reddit.com/r/CarsAustralia/comments/177lcly/who_…
I just never trust any advertisement coming out of the mouth of Youtubers. They are all bought and dont have anyone's best interest at heart other than themselves. Just a platform for them to peddle rubbish. This used to be for sales but now they also come with a fanclub
Thanks. Just picked some up.
You can now redeem Bunnings gift cards online.
Save your money and get Bosch or wipertech blades. I wasted so much money on these Michelin blades before biting the bullet and buying Bosch. Bosch lasted 3 years and probably would last longer but I sold the car.
wipertech rubbish, started squeaking after 12months
Bosch started squeaking after 2 months.
They are poor quality wipers, only last me one year.
To be fair most blades are not tie best after a year especially if the car is sitting in the sun
thanks OP got michelin
How do I know if this fits? I went onto the Michelin website and it says it fits both my T-Roc and i30N despite using different arms
Tried click and collect, no discount :(
Msg them to price beat Costco
Bosch AetoTwin streak a lot on my car? Any other alternatives?
Confirming all Michelin wipers are $8.89, Vic 3173 in store
I bought the supercheap brand wiper refills and they squeak every time they wipe and it's very annoying. Does this happen to others and is there a way to fix this or do I need to just replace with something better?
Most of the time it’s poor quality rubber causing the noise. Replace with a better brand, SCA home brand stuff is just AliExpress cheapie stuff.
Confirm price is at Epping, Vic with the price tags as well
These are significantly worse than Aerotwins, I've used both and won't buy these again
Whilst the Aerotwins might be far superior I don't quite get the value proposition?
Just had my Skoda serviced and tech advised both driver and passenger wipers were in need of replacement (I knew this as I hadn't changed them for 4 years and the car is parked outdoors)
Wanted $110 to do them both so I declined.
Aerotwins at Supercheap Auto for my car are $49.95 each so $100
I bought the Michelin's at $8.89 so $17.78Surely these Michelin's would outperform my worn out originals and even if they aren't on the same quality level as the Boschs I could replace them every year and it would still cost me the same. (Based on the fact that even though the Boschs are higher quality, It's doubtful they will survive more than a year)
I got my aerotwins on ebay for around $20 each, without considering cashback and discounted gift card.
Yes, depends on use. I fit aerotwins to a car not used that much that sits out in the sun and under trees. Streaky and in bad nick after 2 years, passed rego but was told to change them. If they're baking in the sun might as well get cheapies and change them more regularly.
I've used these long term. These are at the cheap end of the wiper market (nothing wrong with that). I usually get 1 year/ 20,000km out of each set. Car is garaged, minimal parking in sun. Expect to get less life if your car is parked outside.
No streaks when good, when they start to skid then its time to replace. Was previously buying when Costco was $12.99ish on sale. So $9 now is a steal (all time low I think).Or you can pay $40 for another brand and hope they last 3 years+…
Thanks mate, :)
I had Wipertech on my last car but that only just made it to one year and was $80
So if these Michelin's are about the same I would call them a bargain for my usage case
Good deal but I would buy it again. Bought it from Costco and it started squeaking within a week.
Is this deal still active?
I just grabbed a some from Bunnings Rothwell in QLD and it scanned at the full price of $18.99.
Is there a trick in getting the lower price? Not too sure mate, I went at 6PM yesterday (Sunday 13/04/25) and managed to checkout at $8.89 - There were no price tags in store to reflect sale price
@ Rouse Hill BunningsI think its over.
Check it on powerpass yesterday was showing $8.89. Check it again this morning and its back to normal price. It’s full price at Bunnings Canberra Airport, just went.
Stafford also $18.99
