[VIC, SA] Nissin Sesame Oil or Tonkotsu Flavour Instant Noodle 5 Packets, 500g $3 @ NQR

80

Catalogue deal from NQR of which I haven't seen the price this low.
Even with the Asian groceries it would be hard to score them for less than $4 for a pack of 5.

The ones I've seen on shelf are showing best before dates of early June, so take that into account before committing a broden run at your local store.

  • Those sesame flavour ones always attract attention when I'm hiking.

The smell is so comforting in winter.

Pity they don't have meat or a better broth like some of the other brands.

There was a Japanese one I would buy in konbinis that has a really rich miso base it was almost like eating take away ramen

  • My favourite Japanese style ramen is the
Nissin Ramen Kyushu Black Noodle and others in this range. The closest taste to my fav ramen restaurants.

If you can find the Nissin RAOH one's, those are the next step up after that range.

In terms of cost/quality, the Nissin range seems to go RAOH (日清ラ王) > Ramen (日清らーめん) > Damae (出前一丁) > followed by the "Cup Noodle" and then "Top Ramen" branded stuff which seems the worst/cheapest (and mostly not tradition ramen flavours)

Then there's even higher quality, more expensive stuff like the Nissin Nakiryu Michelin Star instant ramen.

Ahhhh these are the ones I was talking about!

I never took photos of the packaging while in Japan.
