HEYTEA has just opened on Elizabeth Street in Brisbane CBD (opposite Uptown). For the first three days they have an opening special of buy one get one free.
Haven’t tried it personally but there have been lines outside since the moment they opened on Friday.
Thats probably because every 2 stores is a bubble tea shop. But no matter where I go (in China), Heytea constantly have 20-50 minute queues. I don't think they need to worry too much.
Define 'lost popularity' because I bought a drink over there a few weeks ago, silly me didn't know they had a whole entire seating arrangement around the corner. Ended up having to wait over 45mins.
lots of heytea shops closed in china and were replaced with newer, 'cooler' brands.
Do not want to wait in a queue for a long time

heytea lost a lot of popularity in china. i assume the same will happen here. gong cha pass the 'foreigner' test
