I got an ugly crack on my garmin watch, is it fixable?
Yes silicon will fix that.
Oh how does that work, its strange i hit a metal pole, it didnt shatter but left an ugly line quarter way.
Is it diy btw?
Do ineed to remove the glass btw
Stop sitting on it
I have sat on it beforebut dont think that caused the crack. Is it common to have like a crack line btw
Can't remember correctly if it was gorilla glass
You missed the joke. I'm saying the ugly crack was your butt rather than the glass :)
Thanks, found a instinct 2 solar there for $189.50 and bought it, appears last one though, had to search through browser search though.
as always the real deal is in the comments!
$5 extra for the 2 Solar (or did you mean 2S Solar) is a great deal. you just got extra few days battery life and garmin pay! (only on the solar models).
when I searched for Instinct all I got in the results was JEAN PAUL GAULTIER LE MALE ELIXIR.
2 solar, saw a 2 normal in graphite (same price as the 2s in title) there too but that sold out on checkout then found the solar, had to go into the site through google coz their search wouldnt find any.
2 solar,
nice even better for $5 extra. 2 solar has bigger battery and better battery life than 2S solar.
Still available:
Venu 2 Plus - $184.50(davidjones.com)
Lily Sport Edition - $99.50(davidjones.com)There is also an og Instinct solar for $400. Can be found via a Google search.
nice, the google search keeping stuff hidden for people who want to search haha
Yeah, I found them thanks to your comment. I got the Venu 2 for my partner who still is using her Venu SQ from that JB deal a few years ago.
Venu SQ from that JB deal a few years ago.
that's my current watch! 😅
was definitely great value for the features at least at the time. $99 for step tracking, notifications, Garmin pay, great battery life, GPS (this was not as important to me).
my experience has been a bit buggy though. quite regularly every few months, I think the watch "thinks" it's on your wrist when it's not, the heart rate sensor keeps trying to read either the surface it's on or the band and it just runs it's battery until it's dead. next time I pick it up the screen wouldn't turn on. either that or something in the software gone wrong and the watch just drains it's battery while it's sitting there. charge it back up from 0% but it did it again multiple times.I just accepted it was the case for their $99 model. 😐
one day i'll own a garmin watch but why are they so expensive lol
for now i'll just stick with my fitbit inspire 3
They're definitely expensive, but you can get a great deal on sale. One thing that I give Garmin credit for though is that they have fantastic legacy device support though, so its not something you need to worry about buying every few years.

not the case with the cheapest model. my Venu SQ had few early bugs, then got better, then got worse in the last year I keep picking it up to find the screen won't turn on. plug it into charger and it's dead 0% battery. something wrong with the software the watch locks up and drains battery overnight when it's not being worn. I've tried resetting the watch to default twice. still happens sometimes.
can't complain though because it's the cheapest model they sell. if you spend few $$$ you probably get better support and updates.
For what they are, this is a steal.
keep an eye on prices of Venu SQ 2.
I got Venu SQ for $99 (and some extra discount can't remember JB plus membership I think).
it's a bit old now, buggy, LCD screen. but Venu SQ2 should be around the same price soon.
i hope so, that model the cheapest is on amazon for $450 lol
the cheapest is on amazon for $450 lol
I've seen it for the $200 range, $220 ish I think. but still expensive. price hasn't dropped like SQ did.
the only difference between SQ and SQ2 is the SQ2 has edge to edge OLED screen. even with AOD off it actually gives a bit worse battery life than SQ last time I checked, but with AOD off the battery life is weeks anyway so not that big a deal.
Thanks so much for the heads up here - I got a Fenix 7s Sapphire Solar for $499 last night from DJ ! Was going to post the deal but out of stock now
David Jones cancelled my order (no stock). Hopefully others here had more luck.
There is the surf edition for the same price and Camo edition for $214 as well
