Ways to Get Cheap Lounge Passes at Changi Airport?

The Dragon Pass deal expired on me and now I'm not sure if there still are things such as lounge passes people get from credit cards that are transferrable (so I can buy from someone).

Does anyone have any lounge tips? Will be at Changi Airport for an extended time and would like to have a nice way to spend some time. Already booked in for the free singapore trip for some of the time, and want to potentially have a shower at a lounge afterwards.

If you are flying via Singapore, apply the HSBC Card: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/737055

I've been travelling to Japan via Singapore Airline. I could attend the lounges for free in the Adelaide Airport, Changi Airport, Haneda Airport and New Chitose Airport. You also have other privileges (e.g. priority check-in, extra baggage allowance, priority boarding…).

You can have 1 guest. As for children, depends on the lounge. Japanese lounges are quite generous with some lounges not counting under 6 year olds as guests.

So you just leave them outside with the reception staff?

          Sounds good to me…

    • Oh nice, I don't fly often so I feel like I won't be maximising the benefits of a 1 year gold status, but I'll consider this on a travel-heavy year!

Freshen up at the pay-per-use (S$5.00) shower facilities located at Hub & Spoke (beside T2); dine in the T1 Staff Canteen

Is it timed or does it go by the volume of water?

      • Great question, don't know the answer but they do state hot water is included.

    • Oh wow, that's very cheap. This might be my choice! Thanks.

Our Westpac Altitude black cards get us 2x free lounge access (via Priority pass) at Changi. Of course not entirely free as there is an annual fee for the card but we already had them.

  • I found out my card (NAB Qantas Signature) has access to NAB Concierge (Visa concierge). I signed up and asked if they offered lounge passes. They don't.

However, good news! They can sell dragon passes for $45!!! Saved by concierge!!

I've had lounge access in Changi (and I've not). And, tbh, unless you're at some of the better lounges Changi is one of the easiest airports to do without lounge access.

There's a cinema, butterfly house, Skytrain and shops. In relation to the showering and such there are also public showers and a swimming pool. That said you might find that a cheap lounge is competitive with those options although they are only SG$5 and SG$28 respectively. Also weirdly you'll need to bring your own towel for both.

    • There's comfortable seating with power outlets and wifi on the upper deck. You can buy snacks/drinks at 7-Eleven or the Hawker Market.

The main advantage of being in a lounge is to get away from the dreadful elevator muzak that they pipe through the public areas.

AMEX Platinum - $1450 annual fee - $1350 in cashback = unlimited worldwide lounge passes for $100.

    Plus a metal card.

    Yay!

    • I do miss having an AMEX. Might consider this for a year where I will travel a lot.

Define extended time. For long daytime layovers at SIN, clear immigration and visit the city. There are plenty to do & see even just within the airpoet precinct. (And plenty of free things to do & see airside too.)

The free tours are overrated. Apparently, you just get bussed around with hardly any time off the bus if at all. & once you've done a tour (which starts and ends airside), you're not allowed to enter Singapore again as each traveller can only enter Singapore once during each layover.

There is a pay to use pool in the airport where you can freshen up with a dip and a shower.

For overnight layovers, best to get a hotel room for some proper rest.

  • Found a card here while im here overseas , debit card with bank account. Paid about $10 AUD once off fee to issue card for unlimited lounge passes via Mastercard Travel Pass (Dragon pass).. Card valid till 2030

    • Pray tell what bank and card? I'd love this deal, it sounds crazy good.
