People who have a house paid off, a car paid off. What else can they spend their money on?
smashed avo toast and an $8 coffee.
No one can afford that!
Hookers and coke.
More houses?
It's about perspective too
When going out is expensive as (profanity)
$50-100 being a cheap night out (Most would be closer to $100 for just Travel + 1 meal and 1 drink taking almost 50% of that cost)
Therefore $1300 = 26 nights out or less @$50 vs ~5+yrs of fun any night (every night if you wish) + (ability to learn video encoding/editing, AI etc etc )
Plus computers can be a tax deduction.
Since COVID
In 2007 ish I bought a 8800gts for about $550, which inflation calc says would be $950 in today's money.
If you keep it for 4 years, it's less then $350 per year for 1000s of hours of entertainment.
(I just bought a 9070xt and use these arguments to justify it)
Not decent. At least there is $1139 Asrock Steel Legend
Pretty terrible looking card…
Agree, that Asrock card looks horrible. This PowerColor one looks much cleaner.
Deshroud it
Beside the look, how is the temp and noise?
Is ozbargain planning on adding an ozrestocking tab where people can post when things are in stock instead of an actual bargain?
I guess not since a bargain is usually subjective
OzPreorder tab too pls.
Where’s the petition I can sign for this.
oh thank god, it looks like its out of stock now. This was quite tempting.
No shade to your deal, but I'm just sitting here wondering when the heck did $1300 for a graphics card become a bargain? Like, you can buy 2x hideously overpriced PS5s (the ones with a disc drive) for less than that.
I'm gonna be honest, I like games, but not that much.
